Fresh Air: On Stage and Screen
Published in Audio Download by audible.com ()
Average review score:

If you like the show, you'll like spending 3 hours with this
This is a refreshing way to spend your time listening to some of the best interviews from the show. I like the show but sometimes don't have time to catch it on NPR. This audio set gives me lots of the memorable interviews I've heard or partially heard over the years. It's a great collection of some of the folks who are major influences in their work. The inquisitive and probing questions of Terry Gross really open up conversations with the likes of Tracy Ullman and Dennis Franz, they sound like us. These are wonderful snippets of real life.

From Domesday Book to Magna Carta: 1087-1216
Published in Hardcover by Oxford Univ Pr (December, 1955)
Author: Austin Lane Poole

A Superb and Illuminating History
This book is one of my favorite histories of Medieval England- it is thorough and expansive but at the same time concise. It covers all the major issues of the time, from the rulers' personalities to the prevailing social issues. However, far from being a dry list of facts I found it very well-written, and surprisingly engaging! It is rare that I find myself captivated by a piece of thoroughly researched history. Nor can you doubt his accuracy, Poole's facts are obviously meticulously collected from both primary and secondary sources. I reccommend this book both to the casual learner and the more hardheaded scholar.

great resource!
i used the 1998 version of this book when i went to london and i have no doubt but that this one is just as good. it gave us the scoop on where to stay, how to negotiate a good bed and breakfast rate, and where to get good food at reasonable prices. it also lays out manageable itineraries, gives you the dish on when to go to which sights, and which ones are best left unseen. really, really well done!

Poetry, Poetry, Prose, Prose/hmmmmm
Hi all, if you are reading this then you know that I found this to be a good book. Simply because I actually took the time to write a review on it in the first place.

Pinkie has great knowledge of prose, lyric, and so many of those other thingy's that make up poetry. I am a poet myself and I could feel what she wrote...I hope you can too!~

Super gift!
This book is a great gift for any kid who needs glasses. I am buying my third copy. I always buy it for each of my neices or nephews who get glasses. Also as a third grade teacher I keep it on my bookshelf to send home with students who need glasses. Lane Smith is one of my favorite illustrators and I certainly enjoy him in this writing effort.
